To mark the 20th anniversary of the Comix Home Base, Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC) is presenting the Comix Art Fest 2025, a celebration of local creativity through diverse formats, revealing a brand new facet of local creations. As one of the highlights, Origins is Hong Kong’s first art fair focused on comics and illustrations and the Hong Kong Arts Centre has therefore published a Origins: Hand-drawn Comix Art Fair catalogue. This publication is a curated collection consists of two section: artist invitations and an open call selected artists, featuring works by over 60 Hong Kong comics and illustration creators. Each piece of artwork in the art fair is drawn by hands, with no pixels, no digital polish – just ink, pencil, colour and boundless imagination, showcasing the purest creative intentions and the warmth of the artists’ touch. It is a must-have for both seasoned comix fans and art lovers to explore the infinite possibilities of Hong Kong’s comix art.
